What if the Earth stopped spinning
If the Earth stopped spinning all of the sudden, everything on the Earth’s surface would move at the speed of over 1,000 miles per hour. The oceans would all go across the planet in the form of massive waves that could be miles high. Even though the Earth stopped spinning the atmosphere would not, which would cause severe storms and high speed winds. It would also cause many volcanic eruptions. Another effect of the Earth not spinning is that one side of the planet would be really hot because it is facing the sun. On the other hand, the other side would be freezing cold because it wouldn't get any sunshine at all, and the hottest side of the Earth all the oceans would boil just like they did on Venus.

Can you survive on other planets ?
How long do you think you can survive on each planet without a spacesuit? On Mercury you can survive about 1 minute and 30 seconds. In the day, the temperatures reach up to 430 degrees and at night it is -170 degrees. This is not a pleasant temperature to live in, especially with no oxygen. Now let's talk about Venus. On Venus you can survive 1 second or less, because the winds are extremely powerful and the clouds have poisonous gases. On Mars you can survive less than 80 seconds because the pressure is so strong it will make your body fluids vaporize. Now let's go to the big planets. On Jupiter you can survive one second before you get crushed with raging winds and hurricanes. Saturn, less than 1 second before powerful winds crush you. You won't even have time to blink before turning into space dust. On Uranus, a nanosecond. No chance of surviving here because the pressure will crush you in no time. Neptune, less than 1 second because the winds can be even faster than the speed of sound. Just another reason to celebrate Earth Day!
