V2
V2 is becoming very popular and many people want to know the specifics of this new app. V2 does not have a set release date, but will hopefully come out in 2018. The app is currently in a “very very very limited alpha” testing stage, and there is no product they can test yet. The videos will range from 2 to 6.5 seconds and will loop over and over. Although there are not going to be any color or face filters in V2, the videos can be taken with your phone or uploaded from a camera roll if you want to edit the video. There are also specifics that are required for the name of this second vine app. “Please refer to the service only as v2 or V2,” says Hofmann, though he mainly uses the lower-case version. He explains that Twitter still owns Vine and it’s not supposed to be associated with V2, so he wants to avoid being sued. He tweeted the logo that at first glance looks very similar to the vine logo, but is not exactly the same. Slight changes within the logo such as a lighter color green and a lowercase more rounded ‘v’ should be enough to avoid a lawsuit over the trademark. The app will be stricter on offensive content and the community guidelines will be stricter to avoid any type of harassment. Even though the app is nowhere near finished, we hope that we will once again have a platform where we can watch and share videos.

Shawn Mendes is a 19 year old Canadian singer and songwriter. He had originally started on Vine and YouTube but then his career took off and now he’s known worldwide. Mendes has already released two official albums Handwritten(2015) and Illuminate(2017). Now, Mendes is releasing new music, anticipating his third album. Mendes had been teasing about new music since his second album, Illuminate, was released back in 2017.
Recently, Mendes posted two pictures of two different colors showing two different flowers on the corner of each on his Instagram. Fans have many theories of what the pictures may mean but only a few managed to crack the code. One of Mendes’ idols, John Mayer, commented on his pictures saying “Turn your phone and you’ll see it!!!!!”, which gave many fans a new perspective of the two pictures. Supposedly, when both pictures are turned upside down one picture seems to have a hidden 2 and the other a hidden 3 which made fans start speculating if his new upcoming singles will be released March 23. Later, fans had spotted two names of possible singles behind a picture Mendes had posted a few months ago. One name being “Lost in Japan” and the other, “In My Blood”. Sooner or later the fans made an incredible discovery. One of the flowers in the corner are “Japanese Quince” hence the name “Lost in Japan”. The other flowers are “blood flowers” which also explains the name for “In My Blood”. He released “In My Blood” on March 22 and fans are expecting “Lost In Japan” to be released on the 23rd.
Now, both singles have been released and the Mendes Army is happier than ever. On Instagram and Twitter in a paragraph appreciating his fans, Mendes talked about “In My Blood” and said, “this song is the closest to my heart that I’ve ever written.” While “In My Blood” has more of a slow emotional vibe, “Lost In Japan” has more of a groovy vibe. Fans now don’t know what to expect on his third album.
